Shamwari’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre
Shamwari’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is the cornerstone of its successful conservation programme. It is here, that at two bespoke facilities, sick and injured wild animals are treated and cared for before being released back into the wild and 25 years of accumulated experience, knowledge and expertise is applied and shared.

Born Free Foundation, Animal Rescue & Education Centre
Through a long-standing partnership with the Born Free Foundation, Shamwari provides a permanent home for rescued African big cats.

These cats, which have been kept as household pets or rescued from circuses and zoos around the world, are not able to survive in the wild. At Shamwari, they are cared for in five bush enclosures.
